A Patient with an Irregular Heartbeat

A patient with an irregular heartbeat started remote patient monitoring with Midwest Health Monitoring about a year ago.

The patient is able to have peace of mind about her irregular heartbeat, which only requires monitoring now.

The Challenge

A patient with an irregular heartbeat started remote patient monitoring with Midwest Health Monitoring about a year ago. Over the summer, due to her irregular heartbeat and fluctuating pulse, she was referred to a cardiologist. She was ordered a 30-day Holter monitor and an ECHO. Because of those results, she was scheduled for balloon angioplasty to rule out a blockage. The results of her balloon angioplasty were clear, but the patient was able to have peace of mind about her irregular heartbeat, which only requires monitoring now.

The Outcome

Because she was having no symptoms and her condition would otherwise have gone undetected, she is grateful to have the device notify her of her irregular heartbeat.
