Midwest Health Monitoring

A Patient with Blood Pressure Medications

A patient was taking her blood pressure medications on and off because she was not really sure why they were prescribed to her.

She was able to drop one of her blood pressure medications and is doing well.

The Challenge

A patient was taking her blood pressure medications on and off because she was not really sure why they were prescribed to her.

The Outcome

After only a few months of remote patient monitoring with Midwest Health, she felt empowered to take control of her own health. She called her pharmacist, who explained all of her medications in detail and why she needed to be taking them. She then got a pillbox and wrote her blood pressure goal on her refrigerator, taking action to control it. She has now been able to drop one of her blood pressure medications and is doing well. She proclaims, “I got my bottom number below 80 I’m so proud of myself, and I finally know what all my medications are for!”
